Go right ahead. All I know is the mouse that I got had some pretty obvious design flaws, and I would like people to look into them before purchasing to make sure that they won't be affected by them.

One of the worst ones being if you pick up and put down your mouse ever to re-position it, this mouse won't be for you because of the Twin-Eye sensor. Mine also had extremely erratic tracking overall on any sensitivity/dpi.

I do agree that you should research ALL mice (or any other electronic device/product) before you buy, but you shouldn't outright say "do not buy" as your opinion is not everyone's.

I read a lot of average to bad reviews on this mouse before I bought it (they said the sensor was terrible, mostly) but I just loved the design too much to pass it up (I kept the receipt and the packaging just in case). I found that despite lifting my mouse all the time (I game on a small desk on a laptop) I had no issues with the sensor (there is a slight jitter, but it does not really affect your aim unless your going for a headshot exactly as you lift up your mouse)

Well I agree with you there. People should always read about anything they buy. I also welcome that kinda feedback anytime I read it. However I just didn't applicate the thread dump of "DO NOT BUY THIS MOUSE".

Moving on I know of the issues you stated and have addressed most of them.

1. Duel laser does suck if you constantly pick up the mouse. However with this thing being 5k plus in sensitivity it has yet to become an issue in game and I have a VERY small area for my mouse to work in.

2. The bad tracking overall on any sensitivity/dpi can be fixed by doing two things. First change your pad. Second turn off "Enhance pointer precision". I did both and it was a day and night experience.

3. I haven't had the issue with the screw as you did. If I do Ill post back ASAP. Maybe you didn't put enough "man" in the screw? I know I had to push pretty hard to get her to stay.

Ahhh!!! the art of choosing the right a mouse!

Come on people, a mouse perfect to me can be a pice of s*** to you, it's not worth arguing about this. It's like trying to convince your friend not to date some girl because you don't like her.

Ok I just wanted to post here again to state Danish was right........and wrong at the same time.

When I first got the mouse it was awesome! I F#$King loved it. Then my wife decided we needed to move. So we did. In the process I lost my mouse pad. I went down to dollar store and bought a 80 cent pad. It seemed nicer then my old pad that was just a strip of leather. Anyway I got home and Danish was right! The RAT7 is crap!.........without a good pad. Every problem the man stated was there with the exception of the screws not holding. I had an inaccurate pointer that jumped all over the place. I was like "S#$t what the hell happen!". I then placed my RAT7 on my wacom tablet and the damn thing worked PERFECTLY. Problem is I ain't going to use my 400 dollar tablet as a mouse pad.

Long story short if you buy a RAT7 make sure you get a good pad.

It had all those problems for me both without a pad, and on my $40 Razer pad, so maybe it's picky about which pad it's on too.

The problems are mainly based on the Twin Eye sensor, so whichever surface works best with that would be best with the RAT 7.
