Hi guys,

Just few days ago I was reading and watching videos about such problem on yotube and suddenly the same problem started happening on my PC.

MY PC has just started to restart even during Boot and after boot.

It mostly get restarted even before the Login screen appears. , sometimes it get restarted after It boots.

I tried to find the Error code which appear on my onboard LED display but there I can not see any particular code as nothing stays static, it keeps on changing as system reboots.

I have tried below methods:-

1. Uncheck "Automatically restart" from Startup and Recovery settings.
2. Adding "NoAutoRebootWithLoggedInUsers" in WindowsUpdate under AU after running regedit in RUN.
3.Windows Startup repair

None of them are working for me.

But yes when In enter into BIOS the system does not get restarted . I mean I just somehow Got into BIOS when my system was continuously getting restarted (it was almost like blinking of screen). then I saw that when in BIOS the system did not get restarted, may be pointing towards nothing wrong with Motherboard.

TEMP is also around 35- 40C

System Specs:-
Processor:i7 3770k
Motherboard:Asus P8Z&&-V Deluxe
Cooling:Thermalright Silver Arrow
Memory:Gskill Ripjaws 1600Mhz 8GB *4 = 32GB
Hard Disk(s):Samsung pro 840 256GB, Segate 3TB and 1TB

Note:-
I have installed windows 7 64bit on SSD (Normally I boot from SSD) as well as on 1 TB HDD with 20GB install drive ,450GB DATA AND 500GB DATA, so even when I removed SSD in order to BOOT from my 1 TB drive the same thing happened ,system keeps on restarting even before Login screen appears.
Yes, one more thing earlier even before this restarting problem occurs I was facing Blue screen error while closing the Browser with many opened tabs before shut down.
Please help.:respect::respect::(:(:banghead::banghead:

Yes, MY RAM is OK. I have all four RAM slot filled. its 32GB , 8*4.
May be something else causing problem.
NOw currently using this PC but not sure when will it get restarted...........:(

Edit:-
I have seen many people face such problem. But different tip worked for different people, it wasn't same for all.

Is they any way we can generate a log of this restart issue?

Thanks

RAM or PSU with those symptoms. RAM is most likely.

Due to the erratic times for the reboots its gotta be hardware related and not software.

Do not make assumptions about the hardware being good - failure means it worked in the past, now it doesnt. retest everything from scratch as if it was new hardware.

OK. My system just did restart now. when I was using that Torch browser.

Ok. I try to remove my additional RAMS and keep only 8GB. lets see, I will update soon.

Thanks.

its also possible its related to BIOS settings for the ram, so keep that in mind. sometimes a PSU or board can decay over time and provide less voltage than it used to - so a previously stable voltage droops lower than it used to, causing instability. so if one stick isnt stable, try lowering its clocks and/or raising voltages to see how that goes.

850 psu, the power output should be fine, unless it's dying.

I'm thinking it's bios settings/overclock related.

I agree too that it could be a ram or psu issue. Also if you have a modular psu reset the connections coming out of your psu. Something could be loose. And maybe just reseating your ram & video card too. But if none of your efforts work out I'm interested with what you said above that when you somehow got into bios & your system did not restart. Please don't laugh at this suggestion: Check to see that your CMOS battery is securely seated by pressing down on it. (Don't remove it} Maybe that could be it. Also these batteries are about 99.8% dependable & probably nobody has had trouble with one but if it's an old one or a bad one then it just might need to be replaced. The symptoms of a bad bios battery usually show up when your in the OS but not always. If you still have the problem then it's mobo time. ( I was once going to get rid of a mobo feeling sure I had a motherboard problem BUT it was a faulty CMOS battery instead)

Almost never have I had to reinstall an OS to fix such an issue.
I would try a system restore, to a point before the issue started happening, before I went that route.

I would definitely check for bios updates and update to the latest version.
Check windows updates for updates but I sincerely doubt that's the issue.

I would uninstall and reinstall graphics drivers as well.
Also I'd check to make sure there are no frayed wires in the system, that could be grounding out on the case or something. I had that happen to me once.
Make sure all connections are firm.

Ive done a OS format before just to find out it wasnt the OS but yhe ram being defective. As soom as i swapped the dimms it stopped having bsods. Id say try every stick and if it continues you might have bad ram. I read somewhere torch browser might not be a legit browser. Remove it completly and try Palemoon browser and disable hardware support for it.
