I got 3.7GHz out of the box with 1.45v.

I am overclocking using AOD at this time. I am going to find my max with it. My first crack @ 06 with HD 4870 1Gb Crossfire is 20235.

I'm using the old 8.10 driver because it is the least problematic.

    More results in a bit.

EDIT: If I set 1.55v in the BIOS I can run 3.9GHz with AOD. I'm not sure I want to do that on air. 3.7GHz is the limit with 1.45v for me, so it looks like I made a good guess there.

I am going to be working on 3.9 and see if I can figure out a better way to do it.

No I've done no testing. I haven't had the CPU installed that long. I just got it this morning. I am seriously in the experimentation phase.

I'll post up FC2 and Crysis a little later. Now I want to toy with locating my max.

Run a superpi, winrar, and a one hour OCCT at some point on 3.7. I'd like to see if you're stable at 3.7. I'm running a 945BE ES chip at 3.75 on 1.49v real, though I can't quite get it stable yet. Also, is the 1.45v what you have it set at, or the actual voltage after vdroop?

I was wondering what is the highest clock for a PII with a air cooler? Because I am going to have a V8 as mine, and great air flow in my case so It will be cool.

Poke around below here and you'll find a few people above 4.0GHz with water cooling.

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=213248

I'd expect you could do mid 4.5GHz or higher on more exotic cooling.

I'm on a Xigmatek air cooler so I don't want to go nuts with my voltage. I'm looking for the most stable and trouble free OC on air, and that will likely be 3.7 1.45v for me. I'll run Prime 95 later tonight. For now I am going to continue playing with the board.

The voltage I am reporting is from CPU-Z in windows. I haven't directly measured it on the board.

That chip is such a good clocker! Would be cool if u can get 4.2GHz air.

Watch for some of the clocks being reported through AOD. Early on I noticed when I set 3.7GHz in the BIOS AOD would report 4.5GHz in windows.

I got this when I first started-

    The CPU-Z numbers are correct.

Most should be able to get 3.4-3.5GHz P95 stable out of Ph II fine using stock volts. I have yet to see 4 hours or more of P95 from anyone @ 3.8GHz or greater. I've been up to two hours P95 @ 3.7 and I'm still tweaking to get it stable. I can do 3.4GHz on stock volts and run prime 95 as long as I want. In a closed case with system fans on low it doesn't pass 44C.

So worst case scenario I'd expect 3.4GHz overclocking on air with a decent cooler. Prime stable on air I'd expect perhaps up to 3.6 or 3.7 with 1.4-1.45v. If you can run 4+hours of prime @ 3.8/3.9GHz or greater on air consider yourself blessed.

I'm going to experiment with 16 x 232 tonight and see how prime does like that.
