Hi guys...recently I benchmarked my AMD reference HD 6970 from Powercolor...I'm beginning to think something's seriously wrong...I have an i5 2500K overclocked to 4 GHz, 4GB of 1333MHz RAM and the Powercolor (please let me know if any other information is necessary). On Unigine Heaven 2.5 at 1920 X 1080, 8 X AF I'm getting framerates of 28.2 FPS...which is really weird considering I've seen benches of people getting 39 + FPS for a reference AMD 6970 at 16 X AF. 3DMark 11 is giving me a score of 5174...which is really disappointing considering my old 6950 unlocked to 6970 used to give me like 5400+. I'm just wondering if something's up with my card. Could it be anything else like the RAM or CPU acting up? Thanks for any help guys...would really appreciate it.

i read the chipset designed for sandy bridge namely the p67 chipset lets usb3 saturate the pcix bus.... which motherboard are you using... and are you using any usb3 devices???

shot in the dark.... otherwise i would say your gpu/mem may of suffered some degredation...

you could try a bios flash and up your volts slightly with rbe...

good luck...

hmm...thanks for the input, i'm using a gigabyte p67a-ud3. Not using any USB 3 devices though. The reference PowerColor 6970 comes with a BIOS switch, so I tried flipping it to the backup BIOS (pretty much still the same settings) to no avail...3dmark11 still hovers around 5100 - 5200. If it helps, Unigine Heaven is giving me around 33 FPS for a 1920 X 1080, 16 X AF and 4 X AA (I think most benchmarks I've read online are around 39 - 40 FPS for these settings?) I think something's up with the card :(
