My thoughts on Ubisofts Uplay client that competes with Steam/Origin.

Tried to order a couple games, kept getting server error. Waited 5 hours or so, cleared internet cache, ran CC Cleaner.

Tried ordering said games again, server error.

    E-mailed customer support as directed.

37 hours later, we are sorry to hear you are having issues, blah blah, check to see if your firewall is blocking, blah blah blah (just using MSE's firewall)

Game I was trying to order was on sale for $1 at the time.

    Messaged customer support again.

Sorry we can not offer that price again.

    Uninstalled Uplay client.

    xD

It worked fine for me and a friend of mine. The order took about 3 hours to be processed though. Could easily be because of the $1 offers.

I'm going to pass, the fact that customer support wouldn't even acknowledge it is kind of rude. Steam/Origin has never given me such an issue, and I have contacted customer support fort both about 3-4x each.

But Valve nor EA would give you a promotion rate after the promotion ended either.

Fair enough. Newegg has done that for me though before, but that is off topic. Still dislike Ubisoft, I bought Anno 2070 day it came out, 3 GPU switchers later and I couldn't play it anymore. This was before they announced or did an update for it, and I was pissed and lost my cd key for it.

You shouldn't need a CD key anymore once it is activated. You have to log in to your Uplay account to play. Open a support ticket with them and they'll add more activations.
