Anyone pre-order this game through Steam for the PC?

If anyone has and has been in the beta please give some feedback!

This is the first NASCAR game in quite some time but I am not sure it is worth the price.

I'm not a big fan of NASCAR, but so far it doesn't appear to do the sport or even past NASCAR games any justice.

The graphics look dated, the track is too pristine in most places, and the handling looks very arcade for a NASCAR title.

Who makes it? The last release was a debacle from EA. The game did not work properly and had a lot of glitches with the yellow flags forcing leagues to run the game on manual. I actually contacted Nascar seeing their name was on EASports version and created quite a whirlwind with EA. Then I was involved with beta testing and some dumbass South African who developed the game (Tiburon) was a friggin moron. He had a bunch of rednecks beta testing and they were more worried about discussing their motorcycles than actually beta testing the game.

The track they use is Dover and it is concrete thus the pristine look to the track but I agree, graphics are no better than 2005 Nascar

This will be a big flop. Nascar's liscencing fee for this is rediculously high and that is why EA bailed from the game. Nascar viewership has declined 20% over the years and lack of sales will be the same culprit here.

After playing the last few games, graphics are the least of my worries for this game. I'll happily take 2005 graphics if the game isn't a buggy POS and has a decent career mode.

    Hi! I'm from the Internet
it seems to be almost a console port of Nascar Inside Line. Eutechnyx and Activision are the developers of the console version.

Trolling Nascar being bough to the Pc my life is good.

    This is Nascar 2011

Then why these vids of NASCAR Inside Line with Dover DLC? I thought Inside Line was the 2013 game.

    https://www.google.com/search?hl=en...=any&safe=images&tbs=&as_filetype=&as_rights=

Anyway, the vids posted just above of the 2013 game don't seem to have any better graphics than the 2011 version, in fact the 2011 game looks like it has better lighting if anything.

I would like to see the homestead speedway. I've driven that track in real life before they adjusted the curve.

I'm sure someone from the Chicago burbs would be a great beta tester for a NASCAR game. Way better than the demographic its aimed at. I got an idea! Why don't we get a bunch of Larry the Cable guy types to test out a vegan green energy gay pride simulator.

Mailman, I know I have a vids of the Homestead track somewhere. I just need to find it and and check it before posting. I have to be careful because some of the vids have some people yelling out some offensive words.

    here you go mailman. :toast:

Is this going to be a SIM or an arcade style game? If its arcade then forget it! I still have nascar 1999 some where for MSDOS and it was a full SIM style game with engine/dynamic adjustments and 95% required a steering wheel and pedals.

:toast: Same here!! I have 1999 and 2003 which were both a Papyrus made game. It totally went to crap after frigging EA took over.

Here is the Steam forum on the game:

    Hi! I'm from the Internet
I posted the Console version earlier in thread and I believe this is just a console port of "Nascar The Line". Looks awfully alike anyway. I will venture to say you will need atleast a game pad if not a joystick/wheel to have full control. I don't think using the keyboard and mouse is going to work very well. Also as far as the console version goes, it does feel alot like the early versions (99' Nascar 4 etc.) I will give it a whirl if there seems to be a good online turn out for it. :pimp:

No NASCAR game has been good since 2003. Although there are a few mods for things like Race07/Race ON which are pretty nice.

That's about as close as you're going to get I imagine.
