The Nevada National Guard is hosting a LAN party event in Reno on March 14-15 that is open to the public. This two-day event will include tournaments for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: World at War, TrackMania, and Q3 TrueCombat. Lunch is provided each day with admission, and tickets for this event are only $20 online (or $25 at the door). All ticket proceeds go towards the Nevada National Guard Sergeant's Major Fund, which goes to help Soldiers in need here in Nevada. The location for the event is 685 E Plumb Lane, Reno, NV.

This isn's spam at all. It's posted to the correct forum, with members and charity in mind. The link takes you to the main thread for the event, which has a very long FAQ and updated details. That kind of post probably would be spam if it were all posted here.

I don't think it will be an issue to link to the original thread, since I operate Benchmark Reviews and exchange news with TPU every day. I am donating time and money to this event, as well as offering prizes, so it makes sense to post the main thread on my forum.

Perhaps I would post more here at techPowerUp!, but look at the kind of response I get when I do. No good deed goes unpunished, as they say.

This thread is fine Das, or it would have been closed by now.

I can understand you dont like to be assumed as a spammer, but dont let that keep you from joining in the day to day knowledge swapping we do here at TPU.

It's always in good form to welcome newcomers!

Thank you! I actually got curious and peeked at both of your FS/FT listings. Perhaps that would be a good place to start, and get some trades moving. That collection of PS3 games looks tempting.

@Das, I stand corrected, you have my humblest apologies! We get a ton of spam posted here and when I couldn't get the link to work I wrongly thought you were spam. For the record, there was no report button hit.

It sounds like a fun event, wish I was closer to Nevada.

Please join us more often so we can get to know you a bit better. :)

Hey man I am sorry you got called a spamer but look at it from our point of view. You only have a few posts and that post I quoted is executed so well how can it not be a bot. No one here types that well

Anyway I wish I could attend. You guys should go national. Set up a paypal service and launch a server. I would gladly take an ass whoopin online for charity. :toast:

I sure hope so! I know that I am personally donating all kinds of hardware for prizes, and have OCZ and NVIDIA online as well.

It all goes to the National Guard soldiers who have fallen on hard times. Plus you get to play CoD4 and 5, along with free lunch.

Is there a PayPal type donation somewhere on the interwebz for donation? Sounds like a great place to send some help right here in the good ole USA. ;)
