From 2005-04-01 on everyone in Germany who owns an "Internet-capable PC" has to pay a national monthly fee for it.
Germany will be the first country in the whole world that levys this kind of Internet-charge.
The motive for doing so is because you are able to listen to /watch the stream-portfolio of the national payed broadcasting and TV stations like ARD and ZDF.
