NCQ backward compatible??

    THats all i want to know really, are these new NCQ drives backward compatible with the SATA mobos that dont support it?

    Since Native command queueing is a feature, the drive will work with all SATA controllers.
    They just wouldn't support the NCQ, running the drive at legacy SATA specs.
    (wow, I never thought I would see those 2 words together, Legacy and SATA)
    EDIT: NCQ Seems only to work with alderwood and grantsdale intel SATA controllers right now. Check this out:
