Okay so ive been wanting to build a cheap dvr\htpc from the extra parts laying around my room. Here is the setup that I have right now:

MSI K9VGM-V Am2 mATX motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4ghz w/ stock cooling
Ati Radeon 2400pro 256mb (w/ HDMI adaptor)
Mushkin 1 gb DDR2 800 ram
WD 80gb Sata II HDD
Lite-On IDE DVD-Rom
Rosewill 350 watt PSU

I plan on hooking this up to my 32"" Vizio LCD via HDMI (audio and video). I just want to use this to stop and rewind/fastward live tv, record shows while im at school/work or watching a different channel (with the LCD tuner). I don't have cable in my room so it will just be over the air HD channels.

So right now I am wanting to pick up a cheap low profile case, Any ideas? I'm also going to need a TV Tuner card w/ digitial support, what would you guys suggest?

Also what software should I use, Linux with Myth TV? Windows XP? Windows Vista? Something else?

Thanks!!! :toast:
