Hello Folks,
I want to overclock my xfx hd 6570. The problem I am facing is in the AMD's Catalyst Control Center i can overclock the memory clock settings from 500mhz(stock) to 1000mhz but i can only overclock my GPU clock settings by 25mhz. Thats from 650 mhz (stock) to 675 mhz.

I have seen other models of the same card's (powercolor hd 6570) gpu speed overclocked upto 850mhz on the net.

Please do help me.

Here is the pic-

Hi

General Rule of Thumb
Use MSI Afterburner Software for overclocking graphic card
Find out the max OC
Increase 5~10Mhz on core in stages test at each stage, if the system freezes you have gone to far, lower the OC by 40Mhz and then start the same process with the MEM increase 5~10Mhz once you get artifacts back the OC down by 40Mhz;
Important
Use GPU-Z Software to keep an eye on VRM Temps these can rise quickly when OC's are applied Keep these between 70~80c : 85c Max]
-Adjust vga card fan speed manualy set it between 80 ~ 100% [*if required to keep temprature under control]
-Be aware that some games do not like overclocks due to differences in the GPU wafer quality and testing with each game as well as benchmarks is nessesary
-Coolers differ [while one card may cope well with heat the other may not]
-Make the drivers are up to date and that they are stable; if they are unstable they will crash the OC
-Check that the motherboard is setup and chipset drivers are up to date [Run CPU and MEM at default speeds while testing vga card OC]

Note: an OC of 25Mhz is acceptable for that model

If get a chance go here and fill in system specs; manufacturer names, model numbers & opperating system

Well I did come to know that through Internet. What I need to know is how should I overclock it above that 25mhz. Can flash bios of another gpu of same kind (like of hd 6570 by powercolor) and then will it make a difference?

The problem with flashing a non-reference card with the BIOS of another non-reference card is that they often have different PCBs, therefore this can cause problems with the BIOS (as it cannot find certain components, or the PCB is arranged differently) and thus problems with using the card. So I don't think that would be an option. Maybe you just have a bad card for overclocking?

What need to know and have understanding of: GPU wafers differ they are binned for quality by the manufacturer [same as CPU's] some overclock well and others not at all.

Cooling the card adequatly allso allows for some headroom

Note: I do not recommend flashing this vga card with a vbios image from another manufacturer; most likely it will brick the card

Recommend selling the card if not happy with performance and buying one that will give better performance out of the box; even with an 850Mhz overclock it will only equate to 5~10fps more and kill the card quicker

It would seem not, unless you bought another card. But the improvement in FPS and gaming won't be that much with overclocking as @Law-II stated, and will reduce the usage life of your GPU, so perhaps its not really worth it in the end. Sorry about that.

ddr3 card no point in overclocking replace it
you aren't gonna see much of a improvement even if you could clock it to 1000Mhz the video-memory is just to slow and there is no fixing that even if you push the gddr3 to 600Mhz it won't matter
the 850Mhz card you read about is probably the slightly less crappy GDDR5 variant the clock limit is their because those cheap GDDR3 can't take it
