What is your budget? From the looks of it, it's pretty high, but just wondering in case.

Edit...and the primary question, are you overclocking? From what I've heard (no personal experience involved) the deluxe is superior in terms of overclocking.

Personally...I'd go ahead and bite the bullet and get the deluxe. It's not -that- much more money, and you'll get more out of it. I always thank myself later by spending an extra $100-$150 everytime I build a computer...What's $150 in the long run, anyway.

As far as the HDD, I've heard some great things about the hitachi 1tb hard drive. Right now it's got a rebate too... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145167 1tb for 110 dollars.

If you don't need that big, I'd go with the single platter barracuda here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148262

Edit: And why are you getting that PSU, out of curiousity? This corsair 620W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139002 should be more than enough for you.

Yeah I am overclocking, with some help from my bud. So you think the deluxe is better. And for the PSU two reasons first it was on sale with a combo with the P5Q PRO for 100 dollars less, and there are 6 fans in my case. My budget is around 1300$

I don't know much about the P5Q but I can vouch for ASUS boards in general. I've got the P5E3 Deluxe and think its brilliant. Have you thought about going for a DDR3 setup as DDR3 prices have fallen loads over this last year. Still no where near as cheap as DDR2 but no longer a reason to avoid them.

As for hard drives, I'd go for the Western Digital Caviar Blue 640Gb. Its got a high density at 320Gb per platter which helps performance.

P5Q pro is nice. Once I figured out how to tweak it, I like it. I would also ditch the 8800 and go with a 4850, so if you want to go crossfire later.

Okay , I might stay with the P5Q deluxe, but thanks for the 4850.
