My brother's Dell Optiplex GX1...PII w/ Windows 98 is having a problem. After reinstalling the o/S, the disc drive will not stay closed and all checks say that the device is acting properly, but obviously its not. Can someone advise how to fix this

Is there something stuck in there?

Also, a new drive doesn't cost too much, if it is broken..
