My PC is about dead it's an ASUS with a amd 8 core hyperthreding, 32Gb ram corsair vengeance, Nvidia GeForce gtx 660 ti, Windows 7, wireless N, corsair AX1200i power supply, and corsair liquid cooling.

I spent $1400 on it it's been half of a year now and it now runs like a Pentium 4 2gb ram and it won't stop giving error messages and freezes a lot and the wireless card stops working every now and then.

I was thinking of getting a good server for gaming like the H8QG7+-LN4F
Witch has family 4 amd Opteron 6300 1tb ram etc... but I don't know if its good for gaming if not I would love to know the best idea you have.

I want the best I can get but I want parts separate I can only buy one part at a time cause budget I get 710 a month and pay 300 for rent and 60 for phone so budget is under 300 the big costly stuff I'll have to save up for.

I currently have a mid tower ATX case and a full tower a XPS 700 case probably con juryrig it to work with an EATX OR other boards.

Any help would be great.

My PC is about dead it's an ASUS with a amd 8 core hyperthreding,

Hyper threading is an Intel technology.

AMD processors have genuine cores.

I spent $1400 on it it's been half of a year now and it now runs like a Pentium 4 2gb ram and it won't stop giving error messages and freezes a lot and the wireless card stops working every now and then.

This sounds like a software issue or a OS issue.

Format the hard disk drive, reinstall windows and start again. There is nothing wrong with the components this is a pretty decent rig.

hardware conflicts? After you reinstall windows have you updated drivers? What about temps on your CPU? what about reseating your cpu cooler? alot of things you can do. but mainly slow down of computers is because temperatures. what about upgrading to SSD?

Well it's liquid cooled so it shouldn't be hot I don't see how HDD will give me these problems but if I upgraded it will have SSD if I upgraded that PC will be on sale if anyone is interested I'm almost ready to give up on it ever since I got that PC it's been having problems and when I can't do anything I pay a pc shop to say sorry it's over my head (paying him to fix it) and don't try to get me to do Intel it sucks for gaming compared to amd I've had people say go Intel it's better. no

sorry to tell you this but dont rely into this AIO coolers. I could see from the picture that the radiator has alot of dust. You dont have inlet fans. Again, cleaning and cable management will somehow lessen your computer temps including your cpu. There is no harm in cleaning and reseating cpu cooler.

and try to monitor your temps. There is alot of temperature monitoring software. Suggest you do that before jumping to conclusion that temps are fine.

Like I said, most of the slow down is thermal throttling. System instability is due to drivers and hardware conflicts.

But if you want to buy another rig, thats fine it is your money anwyay

edit: difference between SSD and HDD is night and day. For storage not really big difference but for windows and software installation, you will feel difference.

i had a 650ti for benching and used it for gaming sometimes, on medium settings and 1080p it does well. better than i thought it would, so yours should be better.

ive also had an FX-8350 and that gamed ok as well.

you dont need a new pc, just maybe a few new things depending on what resolution you game at?!

if i were you;

1. new HDD or SSD, the latter is like a whole new faster PC.
2. Flash latest bios and configure bios so that the RAM is at correct speeds, and maybe CPU overclock slightly.
3. windows install, with the latest correct drivers
4. if copying steam folder through different installs try an update or new install of games you use most.
5. A decent anti-virus and firewall, and spyware remover installed.

or try correct the issues you are having through the advice people give?

You've already invested $1400 into this system with problems soooo soon?

What games do you currently play and use your system for?

You can also reuse the HDD (if not broken) PSU, AIO, Case, and Ram

If you truly want to start over with the best then...

Intel 4770K: LINK $320
Asus Maximus Hero: LINK $200
Crucial 240GB SSD: LINK $120
EVGA GTX 780 SC: LINK $510

TOTAL: $1150

If you have a Microcenter near you, it's even better and you can save $30 on the CPU+Motherboard combo. You can also search on PC Parts Picker to find the best prices on gear.

BOTTOM LINE
I feel you have an issue on your HDD or motherboard (since you mentioned you had a bent pin)

Cheers!

I hope you don't run the real-time portions of all those antimalware? The avira and spyware terminator should both only be on-demand, unless your avira is your main a/v, and then the same would apply to avast and spyware terminator.

The only reason I mention it is because having more than one antivirus or antimalware all running their resident, real-time protection can severely slow down a system.

The problem with Intel is it's not as fast the hyper threading may make it run faster then a 4 core but Intel 4 core HT vs amd 8 core HT (Intel HT hyper threading amd HT hyper transport) I'll take the amd its cheaper and its better for gaming amd HT runs process 2 times faster Intel HT runs 2 at a time example a 2Ghz processor amd and Intel Intel's HT runs 2 process at 2Ghz amd's HT runs 2 process at 2 times that spear but Intel is better at multi processing for servers amd Is better at gaming it runs games faster then Intel

Ok, that's great! I was checking, because that could have explained your slowdown.

1. XPS case cannot be re-used, its BTX so it is not compatible with anything but original Dell stuff.
2. Watercooling loop hanging loose wtf? and fan is backwards?
3. Why don't you have case fans?
4. Why is harddrive not screwed in?
5. Have you checked temperatures for your components? Bad thermal paste on CPU? Lack of proper case fans?
6. Have you done a complete 100% reformat drive and reinstall windows?
7. Is Harddrive in the correct SATA III mode?
8. Is OP a troll?
9. Maybe OP should buy a prefab computer like this: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Spring_Gaming_AMD_Eight_Core
or this

AND NOT TOUCH ANYTHING

Don't buy a server, your 8320 has the same architecture (pile driver) and has a higher clock speed theres no point in doing this. Buy a pre-fab from Cyberpower or something. They have a ton of sales apparently right now. You could probably reuse your 660 ti or sell it for $200 to recoup.

Cyberpower etc are companies designed for people who are not computer savvy but want gaming hardware at a low price, they are pretty decent. The price is the same as if you bought all the components yourself but its pre-built. Choose something from one of these web companies and run it by us before you order, sometimes they throw crappy stuff in like bad videocards, power supplies.

Your current power supply is pretty good, you could probably reuse that along with the 660ti.

You could also buy a dell like this:
http://outlet.us.dell.com/ARBOnline...arch.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dfh&cs=22&puid=4409cc77

and add your 660ti to it.

This cyberpower is a good deal: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Spring_Gaming_Special_III/

Change the graphics card to AMD Radeon R7 240 2GB GDDR3 PCIe 3.0 x16 Video Card or something worthless and then throw your 660ti in instead.

Use the windows 7 disk to reformat instead.

Is it Windows 7 64 bit or 32 bit?

Buy some screws for the radiator or use zip ties or something

If t he system is 6 months old shouldn't you have it under warranty and not worry about anything?
