Hi Guys,

I do agree that in my last thread Lowest Power consumption PC with i5/i3 , I talked about lot of options so did you all, but finally I felt that Intel NUC i5 was the best but knowing that in anyway it going to touch $700 , I chose Laptop for $ 1200 as it would serve me for many options and portable.

Tatty_One ...The Moderator :fear: closed that thread so I could not update there, no man that thread introduced me to many things and I really wanted to get 2nd option to my mod.

All of sudden I am going to have two i7s 3rd and 4th Gen machines at home.

I always believe that whatever we buy should be unique in its own purpose and look attractive.

So I would like to buy the Best Laptop Cooler for my laptop along with Funky multiple buttons mouse.

below are some I am thinking about:-

-Cooler Master NotePal LapAir Notebook Cooler
-Cooler Master NotePal U3 laptop cooler
-Cooler Master Notepal Ergo 360

So My few questions are:-

1.Does my laptop DEll 17R 7737 really requires the Cooler ?
2.Does particular Laptop Coolers comes for particular laptops, depending upon where the laptop's heat output area is ?
3.I think one should need two laptop coolers/pads, one for on Table viewing and one for on lap viewing ..is it so..?;)

Thanks,:lovetpu:

Congratz on the new machine! The pads you have in mind, there are plenty of reviews both written and video, where you can see them all together with their benefits and negatives. I personally like the U3, because you can move the fans wherever you like and thus fit your specific needs. However, you can't use it on your lap.

Frankly speaking, I recently purchased a cooling pad for myself. And I looked into all the options you listed- I don't like neither of this year's CoolerMaster's selection. We are not talking about money. I don't like the features they have included and the aestetics. What I ended up buying is DeepCool FS3600 for 15 Euros. My budget was tight and this thing came with huge aluminum piece, adjustable fan speed and if the fan dies I can keep the aluminum table and two very nice angles to type. I like it a lot. That said, the real difference is not that great. Under heavy load I got -5 degrees celsius at best. It does help, but if the cooler of the laptop itself is bad, it's not going to help a lot. If you can afford it GO ZALMAN! We are talking 50+ Euros here (I don't know how much is India, but you can calculate it). I've seen a lot people swear by their laptop cooling pads, so I guess they work- it's just I can't afford them. That's what I think. The lower end cooling pads are just for show- the way I see it. Middle class may be a bit better, but if you really want to feel some difference you have to shell some serious cash. I am satisfied with what I got, I don't regret it for a bit.

I have a Coolermaster Notepal Ergostand and I love it:

http://www.coolermaster.com/mobile/notepal-series/notepal-ergostand/

Support for 17" laptops
4 port USB hub, you can keep a mouse and keyboard connected all the time
4 standing positions
Additional 5V DC port (for charging devices on the 4port hub)

Note: The Ergostand II and Lite are worse than the original. If you manage to find one of the original Ergostands I fully recommend it.
