need turbo module (fans) for ARCTIC Accelero S1 "Asus HD5770"

Need the fans pictured, power cable unsoldered after a little cable adjustment inside the metal sheets of the heatsink. I would need 2 units preferable because the don't seem to be robust.

why not just zip tie a 120 fan just a thought, thats what i did on mine

I have one spare but it will be too heavy for the heatsink. Actually is not heavy 'I was thinking of the metal screwed to it. How would I zip tie it how did you do do it?
It might add more noise I then wouldn't do it.

double zip tie one end to the other thru the fins or a long zip tie

just clip it when you get the fan u wanted, imo the 120 are better and quieter

A long time ago I bought a pair of S1's for my 8600GT and they work the best with regular 120mm fans. I made a pair of wire-clips, but you can probably use zip-ties or even rubber bands to hold those in place.
Or buy twin frozr fans and do the same :

the fins are the flat bars correct? and clip it? what is this means? cut the edges or something?
Still I think the 120mm fans are louder then my turbo modules.

Clip=cut it, not if you pick a low rpm/silent type 120

even in low rpm the 120's pushes more air

thats gonna be loud, 800 to 1200 is ideal. Unless you have cheap fan control to lower the rpm on the lian li fan

2? wouldn't that be noisy even at 1200rpm?
By the way I don't have a fan control for my 120mm, I only have 1 120mm fan the other is on the cooler for the h70. Will it be enough with just 1?

one should be fine, the heat sink is meant to be passive anyway having a fan is a big plus

just for the record the hd5770 can't survive without a fan even if using this passive S1. I was on bios setup and the screen went black after I forgot to connect the fan wire and the heatsink was really hot.

Have a 5870 that is cooled with a S2 and two 120 mm fans on 5V, it loads at 45 to 50 C. Fans attached with those twisty cable ties with a metal wire inside them, have been working like that for 4 years now.

my temps with the S1and turbo modules was around 103C at 100% load. Will report temps with this fan but I suspect it will be the same as the fan doesn't make much noise either. Good job you.
By the way I have the fan running at 1700rpm and is not doing more noise then the turbo modules. temps appear fine on bios screen.
Running Grid1 for 30minutes it doesn't go higher then 74C. Significant improvement over the turbo modules.

I had one of these on a 3870 that came without a fan and found a single 120mm blowing along the length of it enough

Yep. 5770 is a hot card (>100W max TDP). Mine only worked fine in passive mode with MSI 8600GT, but I had a decent case air flow to go with it.
BTW, I found an old review on russian website and according to their results, a single 120mm noctua fan (NF-P12) beats a pair of Accelero turbo fans by 4-5°C.
