I did post this in the software section but only got a couple of views!

Basically I tried modifying my tcpip.sys in vista 64 for faster torrent connections.

But beknown to me one of the vista updates prevents this from working and now vista wont boot at all!

If someone could upload there original tcpip.sys from there vista 64 installation i would be super gratefull!

It is located in the system32\drivers folder

    Many Thanks.

PS. a 32bit version wont work.

I tried but no joy, it must be compressed or something.

You are a legend! Thanks! I can't believe that the repair function on the vista disc cant fix it but not to worry!

    Thanks again!

Worked a treat! Your a star!

All i can say is if it weren't for linux windows would be screwed lol!

I had to use ubuntu to over write the patched tcpip.sys which cocked everything up in the first place!
