Can you fit a spitfire in your case? It loads the GPU in furmark in less than 50C, though u need a VRM sink too

    D007 says thanks.

It's a full tower case, so I sure hope so.
The more cooling the merrier. I'll get VRM sink as well then if this is the best one I find. Looks good though tyvm. :)
EDIT: wow that thing is huge, guess I could put the 5850 in the bottom pcie-x slot, maybe move things around a bit.
Where can I get the spitfire from anyway? I'll keep looking for it but it looks very nice and has some good stats along with it for cooling.
    Me likey.

That's absolutely fine about price. I'm just trying to keep my baby cool. :)
Thank you very much for the information, very nice. I do have a ref card btw.
Now if I can just find that cooler in the US.. XD

EDIT: wala, newegg, for the vf1000 anyway. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118037&cm_re=VF1000-_-35-118-037-_-Product
Here's a link to an article about it, says it fits on a 5850. http://www.yougamers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=122288
That's a very pretty cooler with all that copper. Very nice recommendation ty again.
The VF1000 is otw now, seems like it should do nicely, all that perty copper. :)

Ah, I meant the black version :p Copper is nice too, but black goes better :)

You end up with something like this ;)

Once you get that done, sell it to me cheap  Well I'd be happy to get a stock cooling 5850 first, but no-one sells them used and there are no deals anywhere for them, not to mention stock for cheaper ones :(

Doesn't fit ref 5850, needs 5mm cut on fins to clear DVI.

The moment you said that I remembered why. The GPU on the 5850 sits closer to the DVI than the 5870 and I had totally forgotten about it. Thanks for reminding me OnBoard. :toast:

My apologies D007, I seem to have given you bad advice. :slap:

No you didn't, you just saw the future, it's now compatible
    See here http://forums.techpowerup.com/showpost.php?p=1878519&postcount=245 ;)

Now if I could only get a 5850 somewhere I'd know what to get, although I set my eye on Alpenföhn Heidi (http://www.caseking.de/shop/catalog...nfoehn-Heidi-Universal-VGA-Cooler::12719.html) having CPU cooler of them :p
