Alright, so I should let steam know this, but for some reason netstat.exe decides to start when playing steam games. Alright, so it starts, but what is the problem? It takes 50% of the cpu load when running. Meaning that I lose oh, say 85% of the frames per second that I should have. Oh so why dont I use ctrl+alt+del to shut it down? (end process) Because it tells me that the operation could not be completed. or something. But it also is set to high priority.

Techpowerup, please tell me how to shut it down. Or disable it.

It' might be a virus. If it's in the startup list, disable it. Run a couple of spyware and av scans.

Isn't there a run command that I can use that'll bring up a startup list?

[thread] Continued.

So, after further testing, netstat.exe was scanned with several anti-virus programs and etc. and found to be harmless. It's somehow connected to NET traffic meter. netstat.exe only starts when connecting to a server or playing on a server in TF2, and while NET traffic meter is running.

Also, I cant use ctrl+alt+del to end process, change priority or change it's affinity.

The computer has a dual core 3ghz processor of some type. Yet it takes 50% of the processor and 50-85% of the frames.
