Hey

I was just wondering if there is a way to set network priorities.

Give one computer less priority so that my parents don't get up me for hogging all the speed with torrents and such.

Also block access of some computers to the internet at certain times of the day

Thanks

It depends on your router, usually you need a high end router to have functions like that. However, I use a relatively cheap Linksys WRT54GL with 3rd Party firmware, that offers all those functions.

Thanks.

Check your settings:

You might be capping your downloads and not realising it. Cap should be 85% of max ISP download (rule of thumb) or?

I don't use the QoS settings on a regular basis, that is why everything on the first screenshot is grayed out. I use uTorrent to limit its own bandwidth, I've only played around with the settings to test them.

I do use the Access Restrictions all the time though, but not on my home router. I use it on my Girlfriend's parent's router to limit her little sister's time on the internet.
