Demo Dick is his name and killing baddies in the most BRUTAL way is his game. :rockout:

Basically Bethesda is bringing the story of Richard "Demo Dick" Marcinko to the gaming masses. If you don't know who Richard Marcinko was he was a real life "Splinter Cell" for the U.S. during the cold war. Badass is an under statement for this guy. The "Kill Moves" they display in this game are very real and give you a good idea what enemies of "freedom" face. The funny part is my old man who was a sargent during Vietnam taught me me some of those moves when I was 10  Anyway this game is being made by Bethesda and in my book that means pure win! Heres the skinny on "Rogue Warrior".

    Rogue Warrior

    Description:
Rogue Warrior is a character-driven, first-person-shooter, featuring Richard "Demo Dick" Marcinko's explosive personality in an action-packed single player campaign, and intense multiplayer combat.

    Story:
Playing as Richard "Demo Dick" Marcinko, you go behind the iron curtain to disrupt a suspected North Korean ballistic missile program. Soon into the mission, you uncover a conspiracy that could turn the tides of the Cold War in the communists' favor. You must then take the mission into your own hands as you enter into the bowels of the USSR to destroy a technology that could change the balance of geopolitical power, leaving a trail of destruction in your wake!

    Key Features:
Play as a Real Life Legend
Play as Richard "Demo Dick" Marcinko – a real-life American badass. His defiant, crude, and sometimes ruthless behavior has earned him both glory and infamy in the history books. Now you take on his explosive nature as you engage in black ops and go against the rules of conventional warfare to get the job done.

    Brutal Kills
With more than 25 uniquely brutal kill moves, do what it takes to take out the enemy. No trick is too dirty as you maintain the element of surprise whenever possible - find and kill the enemy before they find you.

    Targets of Opportunity
Be an instrument of destruction as you create tactical advantages by eliminating any and all targets that would otherwise benefit the enemy

    Multiplayer Mode
Go head to head against others online and even perform brutal kill moves on your friends.

    Award-winning Talent
Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke voices Dick Marcinko's in-game character.

I think I heard of that. Wasn't it developed by someone else and only published by Bethesda?

It looks like Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid was thrown together.

The graphics look dated but that doesn't mean anything. I want the game itself to be good.

Quite right - Rogue Warrior was originally the title of a Novel written by Richard Marcinko & John Weisman.

I think they released 3 books in that series, Ive only read 2 of them.

First up solid snakes not gay, sure he has a lot of annoying fanboys but he is a good character.
Secondly from those screenshots i can see that the character models look really nice but the environments and other textures are a bit dated.

He looks a bit like King Leonidas from the movie 300 except modern. (feel free to correct me if i didnt spell his name correctly)

Third the game looks like the saboteur but more like a modern splinter cell type affair.

    Wiki's take on Rogue Warrior

all Bethesda are trying to do is come up with a competitor to Tom Clancy's successful Rainbow Six series or something similar.

Bethesda making the game - expectations are not high.
And those screenshots look like Hitman 2 from 2002.

    I wouldn't go that far..
Metal gear has been around since nintendo.
and this game your plugging is a first timer..
Takes more than a link and some hyped up words to compare to metal gear.

and Bethesda has made some very extensive games.
    such as oblivion.
which was fun, and boring at the same time...lol...
