That is an excellent case, I have one for my server, and I must say the fan is incredibly quiet and pushes a lot of air. Also for its price the paint quality is unsurpassed. It is the best paint job I have ever seen on a case below the $ 50.00 USD mark. He will absolutely love it.

he doesn't care much about windows and it has a great price, i think he will like it, what about the components, say it in dollars it too, the case is included in the 600 so he has 550 to spend but has no need for a harddrive
    Any ideias?

Piece of cake, first question OC or non OC?

I say for a computer like this you get a decent AMD processor or if hes interested in overclocking an 805 D. Now videocard depends if he wants ATI or Nvidia, get a 7900 GT for Nvidia, or a X1800 GTO. 1 GB of Ram should be fine the only acception to needing 2 gb is BF2, and even then it is not nessecary. For a powersupply, if available get a Xclio Goodspeed 500Watt or Fortron 500 Watt, make sure he has a solid powersupply especially with an awesome video card. And if you go the 805D route you definitly need a strong PSU.

Once you or he decides on ATI or nVidia, Intel or AMD we can go from their.

He has a SKT754 3000+ and he says he wants another AMD, the GFX card depends on the price and the X1800GTO or 7900GT are way out of budget, i was thinking of a 7600gs or a x1600PRO, he doesn't need great graphics, he just wants to play at medium settings, he currently has a fx5200

    EDIT: I don't know if i choose AM2 or 939

What are the prices over their? Because a system under 600 USD is easily managable over here with a 7900 GT. I'm probably the wrong person to be talking too about this since im not fimiliar with European prices.

I would try to get a modest CPU, and the best gfx card possible for the budget along with 1 gb of ram, a good mobo and PSU. I'm sure you already have a pretty good idea of what to get.

I just speaked to him and he says he's going to wait a month more to gain some more money, if the AMD drops the price he could get a X23800
