Just bought it for work.

You company reps see this? I buy this stuff because you support sites like this and give hardware for reviews.

We have very similar tastes in server builds, Steevo.
I've got the HP RR 640 in a server running 2x velociraptors and 2x SSDs for a small database server, but haven't had a chance to bring it online yet.
I usually just get an even cheaper GC (like a 4350 or something) as I usually access them through remote connection anyway.

I run a 640 at home and love it. Cheap easy upgrade to setup my SSD array.

On this the SSD will run in RAID 0 on the motherboard ports, and will host the databases/frequently used files, the 4 drives will run on the 640 and house backups and some images i am planning on testing. I plan on having it for at least a month before it will be put in to actual work environment.

Plus running F@H.

I have both the velociraptors and the SSDs in RAID1 (6-Core Xeon)
I use another HP controller in the file server with 8x 7200 HDDs in 4x RAID1 (2x 4-Core Xeons)
My Remote Desktop server has a 6-core Xeon too and it only has 3 user licenses. lol

I put gaming Mobos and G-Skill in them all for stability (even though no OC).
I've been using Corsair (or Seasonic) Pro Gold Modular PSUs.

After MKmods modded my PC Power and Cooling PSU and they warranty repaired it, opened, resoldered and a few other things I will only use them for high end builds. I have a 750 here that is running 40 amps or so of a display at 12V. I pulled the unit apart and bridged a bunch of wires to make my own runs.
