Hello all. I just saw the reviews for the new 7970 and the performance isn't that spectacular...
I just wondering that it's a good time to change my current 6970 with a better performer...
I have some customers for my 6970 and i just saw a very nice priced VTX3D 6870x2 2Gb (for 319 Euros brand NEW) and i like the performance of it (very close to 5970 & 590)... it;s a god time to make an upgrade or wait till something new comes out from nVidia (for a good price)?!

The performance is good for the HD 7970 but the price is not good. The drivers have to mature. I would wait it out for another 2 to 3 months, then you will have better idea on real performance and price.

TBH top-end gpus like the 7970 are meant to be over-priced.
Might as well wait for a few month for things like the 7950 and 7870, or maybe even Kepler.

I'd just wait. There's nothing out there to really push your 6970, unless you're an overclocker.

I would make this change just because i have a good offer for my 6970 and the price difference to that 6870x2 it's minor... thanks and i think i will wait a little more to see what's coming out next year!
