Meh, by then I'd sell it and get a 1000 series card, 1070, or whatever they call the 2nd in line.yea by 2016 another flagship will be out but that's when ill SLI this card...
Your 970 will still be good upgrade for someone that can't afford a high end Pascal. The unified memory and NVLink alone could be a big game changer, and the stacked DRAM will allow higher capacity bigger bandwidth VRAM.
They'll be able to make games with HD textures as part of the install, vs separate downloads, cuz those cards will handle it easily. They should also be able to handle high res with one card. I think SLI will be less common in the years to come.
