Intel has been working hard on their CPU Virtualization Technology codenamed Vanderpool.

The first models "Pentium 4 662" and Pentium "4 672" are supposed to be introduced on November 13th. After christmas, the Celeron D 355 will be launched.
Pricing of these CPUs will be similar to existing comparable models (P4 660: $401, P4 670: $605, Celeron D: $127).

Prices will drop even further in January next year, when Intel will announce their new 65nm CPUs.

Wow AMD really does cost half as much.

I have heard a lot of websites mentioning this "new technology", but I never really understood what is all the fuzz about...
Given Intel's track of promoting new nearly useless technologies and making the general public think they can't live without these "vital new instructions" (MMX or HT anyone?) I hope this is not just another PR scheme...

All I gotta say is who cares.
Intel is way behind AMD and they cost more.
