hi i sort of screwed my dads laptop up and now he has to get a new one, he has seen one in a shop he likes but i was woundering if it is any good?

the specs are:
2gb ram
160gb hard drive
nvidea geforce 8600 gt 256mb
windows vista

so if this is any good please could you let me know thanks.

if its a core2 chip and not amd,its ok.my mate bought an asus with very similar spec,and it plays crysis.

good for what exactly?

It's good in that it will play games decently. The graphics is one of the better ones you can get for laptops. The hardware you listed is up to the current generation.

But I'm sure given the 8600, it won't win any battery life awards.

What processor does the laptop come with? Is your dad a gamer?
