No, the drivers are still not performing as they should.

Already test driven it. Only major update is the DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) for current Kepler & Fermi based cards. More stability on current games. No black screens or flickering on my system, despite bumping both core & memory by 100MHz. Also, the updated Shadow Play now uses less resources when recording at Max quality. Only downside I found out is that the 4K extra works great for large 1080p screens, not under 30-inch.

I did not update my driver since v332.21

3 days ago, Windows update had the new one ready to install so it was a no brainer and just installed it.

Half an hour later i was rolling back to my previous version because media player classic would no longer play any mkv movies : nothing but a green screen filled with glitches.

These drivers have been pretty much perfect on my system. Games are smooth, shadowplay working great and all media software functioning as normal. DSR working great on older titles and modern ones that have crappy AA. All in all happy camper. Hope it remains the same when I update to a quad with a 970.

Perhaps uninstalling and then using a driver cleaner + reinstall might help? Can't hurt, anyway.

for the green screen issue on newer MPC-HC, I think you should head to Options>Internal Filters>Video Decoder. From There, under "Output Formats" while playing a video, uncheck the "P010" thread, Apply & Exit. Try playing a video again to see whether the green thingy is still there. It's a rare bug, so it's no one's fault anyway. BTW, I usually perform a clean install every time new drivers with new improvements it brings.

thanks for your helpfull comment. But that alone wasn't enough to fix my issue.

I've had to enable all 3 video filters, and it's working properly now :)

Installed these yesterday and for the first time since running Surround the driver "forgot" my Surround setup existed requiring a manual re-build. It was almost like being back on Eyefinity with its profile issues.

I havn't tried my 690 in any games yet with the new driver but I am not expecting any improvements.

So to use DSR on a 1080P best, it would be more useful on a 50" television where the pixels are really spread out than on a 23" monitor?

Been playing around with the DSR for Battlefield 4, running at 2560x1600 with 17% smooth factor, 2x AA in game, and 110% Resolution Scale and looks pretty damn good. Better then just 1920 x 1200.

I installed these drivers to give DSR a try - I can get it to work, but not ideally with my system. I have dual GTX 570s. They only support 2 monitors on a card and I have 3 monitors. I cannot run SLI across 3 monitors if I disable Surround. I can run all three monitors, but I'd game only on one GTX 570 while the other 570 is a glorified physx card. This is the only way DSR works for my setup.

I either wait to use DSR for the time when they enable it for Surround setups or I get a new GPU that can support 3 monitor (I'm thinking the latter will come sooner, but that's still some time out for me).

As for performance, I get hiccups in Borderlands 2 now when playing 5760x1080 - they seem to happen once every 3-5 minutes, the game screen freezes for about a second and then everything plays fine again. When I was on 332.21 I didn't have this problem. I haven't done any heavy gaming since the 344.48 driver, but what games I have played I haven't noticed any other issues.

I updated to these the day they were released and very soon after I started noticing what looked like burn in or image retention against my desktop wall paper anytime a white window (such as file explorer and also in this case an eBay page) was left open and still for a long period (maybe 10 minutes or so). I had left my ebay page open and left the room to make lunch and when I came back to my PC and closed out the window I could see it burned into the screen against my desktop. This had never happened in the years I had the monitor with an ATi card and has not done it since getting my GTX 980 at launch over the first couple of driver revisions, but started immediately after updating to the 344.48 drivers. The "burn in" would go away after a little while of either playing a game and keeping images moving, or just by shutting off the monitor for a while. I rolled back one driver revision and it doesn't do it anymore. Monitor is a Dell 2713HM.

@rtwjunkie on a 50 inch 1080p TV has smaller pixel density so using the Dynamic Super Resolution (with around 40% smoothing) method on it should give a better image & possibly video quality, but I think a 60-inch would be perfect, though you need a more powerful card to run games nicely if the method you choose is at 4.00 times.
@neatfeatguy I think for your current card, the DSR is a little too much for it to handle. For the freeze & stuffs, I think the HDD is the most likely cause since I too have Borderlands 2 on a dedicated 1TB HDD, 7200rpm at that.

The hang up comes while running with 2D Surround at 5760x1080 in with the cards running in SLI - this only happens with 344.48. I didn't have this issue with 332.21.

DSR only works for me on one GTX 570 because I have 3 monitors (2 on the 1st 570, 1 on the 2nd 570). To run SLI with the 570s on 3 monitors, it can only be done in Nvidia Surround due to the limitation of the 570s only being able to have 2 displays total connected to 1 card. Only way to get around this is to hope Nvidia adjusts drivers/support for how SLI is handled on my cards with 3 monitors (I won't hold my breath for this to happen) OR to wait for Nvidia to get DSR to run with Surround (probably not high on their list of things to do). My best bet option would be to pick up a single GTX 970 or better that will allow 3 displays on one card - this way I can run Surround still or opt to run DSR for a resolution over 1080p on 1 monitor.

so far, only the new GTX900 Series sees good scalability in SLI mode, regardless of dual, triple or quad. Older card might have some issues & this purely depends on system configurations.
