Hi Guys,

Wondering if anyone has found any decent benchmarks for the new Sandybridge-E processors.

Been wondering for a while now how it fairs to the previous 6 core family on the X58 platform.

If anyone has any links, would be greatly appreciated :D

Is X79 coming soon, or something? Someone else asked about ASUS X79 boards, last week or so.

SHeesh, I guess there were board reveals recently, so it must be somewhat soon...

Haven't seen any benchmarks yet.

yeah, that's why I was wondering if anyone had spotted any decent reviews of engineering samples :D

So excited!

Mid novemeber I believe is the release date.

For the ultimate enthusiast or benchmarker yes its going to be good. Is it a large enough jump over SandyB to sell your stuff and take the plunge? Yet to be determined but unlikely.

Being Intel I would wait and make sure that motherboards will be Ivy Bridge-E compatible. Hopefully there will not be another 9 month differnce in release for the Ivy Bridge versions of the two chips.
