Newegg Gave Me a 260$ Giftcard What To Buy

Instead of a refund they gave me store credit so I have a gift card worth 260$ that I havent the slightest clue what to buy. System specs should be updated so let me know what you guys think would be the next step.

Edit: Suppose I could sell my Unlocked 6950 and get a 7 series? Just spitballing.
Edit2: Or I could just sell the gift card, a 263$ giftcard for like 225$ or something. Gotta make it enticing

I'd go with the 670 also. sell that 69 and put it all together and get a 670

I would also upgrade you cooling to the h100 and get rid of that antec. I'm anti antec. Get a nzxt switch 810

My H50 is doing fine, though I could get a new case however I would prefer a Corsair 500R:
Corsair Carbide Series 500R White Steel structure ...

Due to the features and the ability to tuck a 240mm rad on the top out of the way. Then I could also get an H100 and call it a day. Not really offering a performance increase I guess it would just be nice to look at?

Edit: So I should sell the 6950. Hrmm I dont even have an idea of what the thing is worth these days. Is it a + that it is unlocked? Id assume so.

Used hardware usually sell around 15-30% lower than their retail value. Going from what the most expensive and cheapest 6950 is on newegg, I would guess that your unlocked 6950 would get (just a guess) around $250.

I will definitely throw my vote in for upgrading to a 670. You need nothing else on that comp but a new graphics card.. and the 670 will demolish what you have currently.

Could get fun and add another 2 SSD'd to my raid for some blistering transfer speeds! I like the idea of the 670, then maybe the case and a watercooling loop.

You need to ask yourself a few questions before making such a decision to upgrade to a new graphics card (namely the 670).

1. The games that you have right now, can you max out the graphics and play at a comfortable fps? (depending on how much aa/af you use)

2. Selling your 6950 at its optimum price (which I don't know what it is), do you think spending an extra $100-$150 will increase your pleasure of playing your games enough to justify the selling of your old card and purchase of a new one?

3. Is there anything else you could use the money on? Like others have mentioned, case, cooling....or even a pair of RAID'd SSDs?

However, if your 1 of those guys who can't control your itch of upgrading, then I would say go for a used 670 to save yourself a bit more money.

You shouldn't have any problems selling that 6950. The sooner you sell, the better, because who knows when the next price drop, big or small, will happen with AMD 7 series and Nvidia 6xx series cards

Yeah, they silently did away with their lifetime warranty. I think the EVGA FTW 670 is non-reference PCB though, even though the cooler is reference.

I vote for a non-reference 670.
