    Hi guys i'm upgrading soon, need some good ideas for the upgrade from you guys :)
    THINK OF
    CPU QX9650
    MB 780i
    VIDEO CARD 9800GTX

    this upgrade will last me a year or 2

    The current 780i's will probably just disappoint you. If upgrading soon go for an intell X38 chipset. However, new mobo's are yet to be released in the next few months, so, maybe wait a bit and re-check motherboard options.

    Good choices...although I would go for the x38 chipset as well.

    ehh idk 780i seems to be a mess, rumors are that the sb on the 780i is a 680i and the nb is basically a 680i with pci 2, thrown in and also that there'll be a cfx chip on there, so seems like nvidia is just slewing some other random chips together and also adding some other features and thats that. so yeah, 780i seems preety dissappointing and stupid, i'm waiting for a decent intle platform with quad CFX capabilties still
