Hi guys,
Something very strange is happening with my computer. So I have a P8z77-i build and I installed all the correct wifi drivers. However, I have to always restart (reset the wireless router by unplugging the power) and the computer is able to conect to the internet. I checked to see if it is the router's problem. However, my laptop had internet access before I unplugged the router. So I'm pretty sure it's not a router problem. Do you think the mobo is defective?

Have you tried to just log off and on to the wifi?

Try to disable and re-enable the wifi (of the card or adapter... not the router) next time this happens (turn it off and turn it on.).
In the wifi settings(properties) disable the power savings features; and do the same in the power options of windows.
If, your wifi is usb disable the "usb selective suspend" in the "usb options: of the "advanced power options".
Also, do the same for "link state power management" in the "pci express" section, if your wifi is a pci express card.

EDIT:

Noticed it is an ASUS P8Z77-I DELUXE
Interesting board.

ALSO, noticed the driver downloaded for windows 7 that is labeled as the wifi driver states bluetooth when downloaded... double check to make sure you are getting the right driver.
The one for windows 8 looks correct. Just saying... may wanna double check.

Right click the network icon in the lower left (system tray) and select "Open Network and Sharing Center"

Select "Change adapter settings" in the left column.

Right click Local Area Connection and select Properties.

Go to the Power Management tab and turn off any power saving features.

See if the problem persists.
