No internet after win install

    ive just reinstaled the windows on my note book and theres no internet i checked the cable and other and its all ok ... any one can help me ? :cry: need that badly ....

    I'm guessing you need to install the driver for the on board NIC.
    What notebook is it?

    Have you installed the drivers? Also make sure the device is in device manager I've seen onboard nic's not show sometimes and you have to scan for new hardware then install the drivers.

    Hey alex I just left the "Could system specs be part of the registration form?" So I laughed for a second when I saw this.

    How are you connected? Via ethernet?

    Do you have the little computer icon in your taskbar to say it is connected?

    yes it says its connected and yes its via ethernet ...

    check your firewall, make sure your not connected and getting limited connectivity, reset your router while its plugged into your notebook, try repairing your network while it hooked up,

    then

    lol pretty much pull the cable modem cord and plug it back in!

    They're connected via ethernet, afaik.

    Its usually just plug and play. :confused:
