thats terrible. MK was a great game. and just because someone coughs up blood when you kick them in the face isnt a reason to censor such an awesome series
The new game looks INCREDIBLE. Possibly the best one yet (but II and 3 will be hard to beat)
No suprise with that one.
Until we get an R rating for games this will keep on happening. :/
Even an MA rating will suffice, but the retards here in charge of such things are just
I mean.. look at the whole NBN debacle.
If I wasn't going bald already, I'd be pulling my hair out!*
* Not really, but it adds to the point
wait.... i thort we just recently got an R Rating here in australia for games?
When? Where? And .. who made that possible?
It was Denied :shadedshu
I heard about this awhile back, grrrrrr grrrrrr grrrrrr
That's what I thought..
It seems that as soon as logic or common sense is introduced, legislation goes out the window :/
Why do the government feel the need to censor EVERYTHING for you Aussies? It's sad. Is there a story behind it?
Yeah.. they're all retards of the worst kind that cater to the quasi (or self-introduced) concerns of the masses.
Nope, that's the sad part .....
Just some men or women that are hesitant on allowing it because of the harmful and violent content in the games. I assume they live under a rock since the internet has already exposed this a hundred times more than video games have.
Its pathetic. FFS, adults have the rights to play/watch whatever they want
The first time I noticed the absence of an R18 rating was when Manhunt got banned because of some kid accidentally killing his brother by miming one of the finishers in the actual game which involved a plastic bag :/ ..
Damn! I'm at work and can't view the link What does it say m8?
Blimey, thats harsh But on the other hand. Isn't it the parents responsibilty to stop games like that falling into youngsters hands?
there you go
EDIT: why doesn't live posting seem to ever work for me. God damn ninja'd
Thanks guys! Great news (and I'm not even Australian)
Not yet, maybe soon, dont get your hopes up though (refer to other quote ).
Apparently we cant think for ourselves, and we are all aged under 15?
Does this mean that you can't even buy digital copies (over Steam, etc.)? If so, pirate away.
Is the original Mortal Kombat banned too (or "unrated" apparently)?
It means exactly that, as long as we are on australian soil we aren't legally allowed to obtain the game in any way.
If your lucky enough to be caught with anything thats refused classification the maximum penalty is a fine of $275,000 and/or 10 years jail. That hasn't stopped people in the past though and wont stop them now lol
If you mean digital copies of MK, I would say no because it's 360 & PS3 only (I think )
But, obviously, for those with modded consoles, they could download or import lol.
