NVIDIA has updated its beta ForceWare driver to version 174.74, which supports just about all GeForce FX, 6, 7, 8 and 9 series graphics cards. The changes in this release include improved performance for DirectX9 and OpenGL applications, as well as a number of game and application compatibility fixes. Download locations are as follows:

the release notes say they added custom resolution support to vista - AT LAST!
(i cant use component HDTV output and had to buy a DVI->HDMI adaptor cause this was missing)

:D my HDMI screen is now detected as a digital flat panel, so i can use Nvidias settings to disable scaling - previously, i had to use the TV remote to toggle to 4:3 mode for example, whereas now the video card does it for me.

I got bluescreen after installs this drivers, i had to run in safe mode and reinstall my previous drivers, because the BSOD was permanent at windows log on.

In running E6300 @ 2.52 ghz,2 giga ram 900 mhz, msi 975x, 8600GTS. on windows XP SP3 build 5503.
