Hello,
I have a question, may seems stupid but that`s that, I`m "novice" with upgrading video cards of laptops. If you ask me about upgrading PC VG - no problem, but this problem puzzles me.
I posses MSI GT70 2OD - Dragon Edition 2, bought it about 2 years ago - 2013. The video card is Integrated Intel 400 and Nvidia GTX780m. Can this be upgraded with GTX980m, the deducated video I mean? I`ve seen a lot of posts and a video about MSI GT72 - Dominator Pro laptops and also official upgrade kits, but nowhere is to find about GT70. I know that the heatsink is different and there can be modified, but isn`t there modified heatsinks to buy from ? I really neither have the tools to modify it, nor the time.
In short:
-Is there chance to upgrade GTX780m to GTX980m in a laptop MSI GT70 2OD?
-What are the steps? Bios Upgrade? Preparations?
-Where I can supply myself with upgrade kits ?
-Would other video cards suffice? Like for example from Alienware 17 (R5)
