it's exactly the same. big claims, big promises, believers, some nice backstory, good vs. evil, no real evidence

The majority of people with HIV are the ones that could not afford to pay for a cure, do you think if some company found a cure they would charge ten dollars for it so all these poor people with HIV could afford it........NOT A CHANCE, it would cost far more than most of the suffers could afford.

I doubt the company would benefit much if no one can even afford their meds.
And unsold product is not a product that brings revenue.

Meh, I would rather have a cure for diseases like Cancer. More people die of Cancer than that of HIV.

Much love to anyone who folds sure it takes time and nothing is free really these days. There are a few that really care for others I am thankful there are. Breakthroughs have been made that’s great news any progress is better than none at all. The way people are worked these days don’t care what health care you have we are rocketing to an early grave.

That stuff is possibly right, there is no denying EVERY first world government has their fingers in some very dirty pies, that we will never know about, much of it to "protect" the population.

I agree to some extent there's government's that would be reluctant to disclose technologies such as a viable alternative to petrol. Not too sure what tax's are on fuel in other countries but over here they would loose a hell of allot of money. Things like saying governments created these supper diseases to control populations and don't want to give the cure sounds like people have watched too many movies.

You know if there are actually viable alternatives to whatever technology, unless its extremely sensitive the private sector will have a whiff of the idea and capitalise it.

RAGE, RAGE, nVidia GPU's were used in a breakthrough in AIDS research! RAGE, RAGE.

AIDS is a population control mechanism RAGE, RAGE.

If the USGov really wanted to control the population, they'd open every door and window at the CDC.

Or they'd spray chemicals in the air.

Or they'd genetically modify the food supply.

    Crazy bastards.

    Warning: Incoming rant

The average post at generalnonsense.net leaves a better impression than a majority of the posts here. Don't you folks realise that Tesla based supercomputers generally compute stuff way more energy efficient (AFAIK) than X86 based SCs? And I will pass on the matter of drinking piss curing , that is even too silly to reply to. And those "population control" guys better go let themselves get sterilised, for some proper "population control" of such pitiful louses in this world.

A proper TPUer does not act like a fool.

Been holding off, but... we fold and perhaps use energy, that we pay for, to try to help these causes. We use our expensive equipment gladly, and knowing it will die in the process. I'm poor, so it's really hard for me, but at least I know I am trying to do something about it, instead of shoving my thumb up my butt while playing video games! And that conspiracy stuff, man, really?
