Oblivion mods

Im using Qarls and dont have a problem alt+tabing.

nah I was just talking in general about alt+tab. It doesn't like to alt+tab on mine at all...always crashes...but I never go away from playing it...I went on an 18 hour binge of Oblivion last weekend... I role play a lot in it though

maybe has to do with the person's system or something...Morrowind and Oblivion just don't like it when I alt+tab

Only crash issue I have is when I decide to load a drifferent save file.
So if I muck up and load a older save the game crashes.

So I have to quit out of the game then go back into it.

Seems we all have wierd troubles. I had a huge performance hit for some reason outa nowhere. Like was running smooth then BAM laggggg. Rebooted machine.....fine.

Morrowind does it too...I think it's something to do with the game engines they use for them....so I wonder how Fallout 3 is gonna be

I can alt-tab out of Oblivion... for a couple seconds. Any more than that and it'll lock up. Essentially, if I DO anything while alt-tabbed, it'll crash. That game uses up so much memory I'd imagine when you pull out and use it for something else it loses track of where it was and freaks out.

Another mod I found:
Landmarks, w Wells

Adds Ayelid Wells, Runestones, and Pilgrimage sites as landmarks to your map. I've actually been going back through to find all these damn things. Very handy since the stones and sites have to be visited at certain times and fame levels to activate them.

Oblivion barely uses any of my memory actualy and ive found that with these mods having Xfire on makes the game crash. With Xfire off i have no problems with the game at all.

hmm weird. I only have a few mods, better bodies for the males and females, and actors in charge. I'd like some more roleplay mods, like falling in love, cooking food, etc. Know of any like that?

Yes there is a romance mod called Romancing Eyja which needs OBSE.
Eyja swings both ways so if your'e a female character she don't mind.
Or if you are Argonian or Kahjiit.
Only thing is I tried this out but OBSE stopped my current mods from working.
I think it stops the mod data files from being recognized.

Here's a screen of what happend when I used OBSE.

I have an older version of Romancing Eyja which works but it was the cause of my crashes when reloading a game in a different area from the game screen and when exiting from game to the main menu.

Even though I had followed the instructions I think I had done something wrong though.
HAven't started a thread about it yet.

ooh I had that kinda weird crap when I didn't install a clothing shop properly.

hmm only female meh Somebody was working on a mod that you could flirt with any NPC and get them to fall in love with you, but I guess he gave up on that.

I reinstalled Eyja 1.4 mod and OBSE and everything seems to be working fine now, no exclamation mark.
Probably going to go back to Eyja 1.2 as I figured out why it was crashing oblivion, plus it doesn't need OBSE.

I think I remeber a mod where if you were a female character you can give 'favors' to the guards but I can't remember what for. . . . . .isn't very romantic though.

i have that basement mod where a new basement is added to every house you own, catch is its the exact same basement for every house so no matter what one it is every thing stays like all your items, i figure it just warps you to a single basement by adding a door to each house

That big yellow exclamation point is two (or more) mods conflicting. Use Wrye Bash to fix it. It's big and scary and complicated, but in the end you'll know how to fix any further problems you have, and probably fix a bunch that you haven't even seen yet

I got the same damn thing when I had Quarls pack. Something must have been conflicting with mine...

Do you have a link to this? That can be very handy if you want to store all your stuff in one area and its at all your houses.
