I had a Thermalright true 140 now the Phanteks PH-TC14E got it for half price (still have my thermalright cpu cooler, just not using it) i am waiting for a new y splitter from phanteks free for charge (i hope they sent it) beacuse the one i have dosn't work, so the way my cpu cooler is connected to my asrock extreme 6 mb my rpm are not the same for both fans.

Atm i am trying to oc my i5 3570k cpu, normally my cpu is at 4.2ghz and offset -0.055 v, i am going for 4.0ghz and someting like 4.5ghz to se how low i can get vcore and temps at 4.0 ghz but also to se what i need for 4.5 ghz (have had it at 4.7ghz but only low tested it's stabillity), LLC is in the low end at 4.

What is the sweetspot for a i5 3570k,the oc where the ratio between performance and low temps, vcore (wich have to be tested to get the best setting for the cpu each person has) is the best, also a performance level where theres enought power for 1 high performance gpu like gtx 780/780/ti titan,800 series, R9 290/290X more or less for all single gpu's and non high perfomance gpu's in cf/sli.

As you know i have a Phantek PH-TC14E cpu cooler, quiet at low rpm (about 750rpm and under) 900 rpm it's okay,if you don't wan't something to noisy, stay under 1000 rpm, trying to get it under 70 degress under load (stress stest, benchmark) at 4.2ghz and over, at 4.0ghz something that's so low in vcore.temps that i can have my cpu cooler at 750 rpm all the time, i don't think i would be able to have the fans run at 900 rpm all the time to stay under 70 degress at 4.2 ghz.

What is the min volt i should try to use at 4.0 and 4.5 ghz

What am i gonna expect for temps?

nobody can tell you what is the minimum volts as overclocking is a silicon lottery. it is up to you to find out.

some can oc their cpu for 4.5 ghz @ 1.2v while need 1.3. Some need 1.2 for just 4.2 ghz while some needs only 1.1 or even lower.

sometimes depends on other components as well like motherboard.

anyway,

I found this thread for OCING at z77 asrock mobos.
