Keeping itself busy until the Toshiba deal is finalized, OCZ Technology has actually unveiled a new product at CES 2014, the Vertex 460 solid state drive. This updated storage solution comes in a 2.5-inch form factor and features a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a Barefoot 3 M10 controller, and Toshiba-made 19 nm MLC NAND Flash memory chips.

The Vertex 460 is capable of transfer speeds of up to 550 MB/s and is set to ship later this month in 120 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB capacities.

Doesn't seem different. The Vector 150 already uses tosh 19nm toggle afaik...I could be mistaken.

Edit: This is a Vertex not the Vector...so the only difference is a slower clocked barefoot 3 for the Vertex.

Would be very weary about any OCZ product until all the details of the Toshiba takeover are finalized. Otherwise if Toshiba is just picking and choosing then one might find themselves with a product that has no support and the warranty is not worth the paper it was printed on.

I think is time they start releasing PCIe SSDs for mainstream now. The SATA3 is capped for a couple of years now, while the "future" SATA-Express is a joke.
