OCZ Technology Group, Inc. a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) for computing devices and systems, will showcase its leading portfolio of consumer and enterprise SSDs at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2014, located in Suite 31-235, Venetian Hotel, Las Vegas, from January 7th through 10th. As part of its presentation at CES, OCZ will unveil the next generation of SATA-based SSDs that utilize the Company's in-house controller and firmware technology.

For the enterprise, OCZ will present comprehensive SATA and PCIe based SSDs that feature virtualization and caching software to accelerate business applications and I/O access. In addition, OCZ will display the recently released Intrepid 3000 Series which delivers the Company's fastest and largest capacity SATA III SSDs to date and features advanced flash management and endurance capabilities that extend NAND flash life and enhance drive reliability while delivering up to five times faster sustained performance than OCZ's previous generation.

For the consumer, OCZ will present several SATA SSD models including the recently released Vector 150 Series for high-performance enthusiast applications that has garnered a host of awards and accolades since its launch in November 2013. Leveraging OCZ's proprietary Barefoot 3 controller designed from the ground up, the Vector 150 SSD Series implements industry-leading performance by delivering consistent, sustained speeds over time regardless of whether the data is in compressed or uncompressed formats. It provides superior speeds across all capacities to dramatically accelerate gaming, content creation and multimedia applications, and supports increased endurance up to 50 GB of host writes per day for 5 years.

Join OCZ Technology at CES 2014, Las Vegas, Nevada, January 7th through 10th, Venetian Hotel, Suite 31-235.

I thought Toshiba bought them? Or did they just bail them out so they can continue making self destructing SSD's?

Toshiba is set to acquire, last I read. Usually in these cases the to-be acquired company will continue as usual until the deal is finalized and then continue to operate as usual for quite some time even after the deal closes. Also it depends on what type of acquisition - this could be a "OCZ by Toshiba" model like Crucial by Micron. OCZ has the great firmware (Everest 2, Barefoot 3) but lacks the top-shelf NAND. They have always been at the mercy of what they can buy and what they are given... this will solve that problem.

Do you have a video of a self destructing OCZ SSD? I have never seen one explode from bad firmware. I see SSD failures all over the internet from all manufacturers. I use SSD from Samsung, OCZ, and Intel. I would never store my photo backups or critical document backups on any of them. But would I ever run a computer without a SSD? Nope.

Nah my server runs an OCZ for 2 years now, but 3 of my local retailers were literally flooded with hundreds of OCZ Agility 3 RMA's and refurbs.
