I recently updated my nvidea driver on my MSI GT60....then added 2 more programs from msi onto the machine, the result after reboot was my screen basically shut down, but the computer still works. I have now rolled back my driver, uninstalled all new programs, also opened and cleaned out heatsinks, but my screen is randomly cutting out. The only way to get it back on when it does that is to unplug/take out the battery, and magically it works again. Any ideas?

What were the two other programs you installed along with the driver? Could have been some sort of overclocking software and it could have made the system unstable hence the random shut downs. System restore to before all the new installs (driver and 2 apps). if that doesn't work perhaps a reinstall/refresh of windows?
