So i just notice the guy who had the case before me has the fan blowing out i always thought they went in on the side fan. my heatsink it was the only way it would fit on my board but it works good and keeps me in the low 20s or 30s, i only have one other fan in this case its blowing out the back, and of course my GPU fan also blowing out. so which way should this other fan be blowing?? here is a pic.

i always have the fan blowing in when i have a case with a side fan, but that is usually because the majority of the air blows toward the GPU.

Im sure you will have equal numbers tell you to have it blow out, but my reasoning it must be in, or the majority of casemakers wouldn't bother to put a filter there.

If its the only other fan I would have it as an intake as you need some air intake to help keeps temps down. Normally if people set the panel fan to exhaust they are running setups using multiple video cards that have fans designed to blow air out the sides to alleviate the bottom amount of air from entering the top card.

Before i do this here is a straight on better picture of everything opinions please, i had no choice to put the cooler like this, and it was a non return item so i used it. SO just looked up cpu cooler it says it can be mounted both ways and airflow is the same so i guess i did not do a bad thing lol. now for the side fan in or out so far they say out waiting for more opinions.

check your temps.. flip the fan... check temps again.

Go with what ever has the lower temps, if difference is negligible then leave it alone.

I just opened it and it feels nice and cool in there i wanted to make sure my heatsink was still tight the first time i did anything like this, and its nice and snug and barely moves when i touch it and its nice and cool, to give a idea on my temps here is a screenshot What you think should i leave it.

Try it blowing inward... compare temps... then decide.

yeah marginal results at best in fact i had decreased temps with it going out and raised with it in, so i flipped it back to out.

I think it all depends on the cfm that your exhaust fans have. If the top and rear are high volume, then a side intake would help lower.

ok so i got me a new 80 mm fan and i only have the side fan and the heatsink still could not change the direction of my heatsink, its still backwards with the fan pointing towards my psu, but here are my temps with the new 80 mm as a intake fan no front fan as my stupid case front don't come off. what do you think should i leave it in as a intake. also a pic of my heatsink and fan the way i had to do it, might be changing this heatsink to a better one for proper orientation. and you can see my rear fan as well.

They are normal temp nothing to worry about few degrees nothing crucial.

Wish my case was like this but i did figure out how my front comes off :) and was going to ask if i add a front fan do you think it will disrupt the airflow on my heat sink fan beings i had no choice but to put it like it is.
