prolly wont bother many people but it dosnt support vista yet as the guy has a vendetta against vista i think he should get it running soon so we can try these drivers in direct x 10, i used to use these on my old radeon 9600pro but then they got to a point were releases were to damn slow

the benifits are better image quility and performance as well as no CCC

and no he dosnt like vista as he says, he said eventuly he will get vista drivers out but dont expect them soon.
i agree vista in its current state is crap, if you dont agree to bad.

sp1 may fix the problems i have with vista, but if it dosnt i will just stick with 2003 till sp2 or vienna comes out :)

remmber omega's drivers have a benchmark profile so synthetix get a boost :D

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Configuration_and_Power_Interface

its not about power alone its how the system addresses devices and how it deals with shuting down, no acpi=no push button pc shutdown :)

as to devices dosnt that board have an extra sata chip? if so check if the drivers for it are installed :)

Tried the 7.6 version of these drivers and they're seemed to be a slight decrease in performance with the X1950pro AGP.

Might give them a go sometime but I'd rather see if what someone elses results first as the performance of the 7.10cat is fine anyway.

well at least omega offers you a way to install 7.10 drivers since the ones from amdti dont seem to work for agp users and omega added support for agp to his installer :D

man its a bit late for me, I emailed omega a couple of times when I had my X1800 crossfire setup bugging them about crossfire support so I wouldn't have to use the shitty CCC app.

I wonder how well they work....

I hated CCC it used heaps of mem and took ages (well 5 -6 sec) to load up.... :(

To be honest, I've never found noteworthy IQ or performance gains from Omega Drivers. I just use the official drivers w/ATI Tray Tools.

Agreed.....I had a 1950PRO AGP version where I tested performance...there where almost nothing gained with the Omega drivers or for that matter the DNA drivers....

not bad, consistent gains at least

how about the effect on overclocking? do the omega drivers enhance/inhibit it?
