I'm an ass, and still cannot decide which card. So I have narrowed it down. I want SLI, no x1950 no 8800, yes, they kick ass but no I want SLI, for performance? no for the principle of the thing. Also its budget....SO it comes down to either 2 7600GT's (good cards, don't care that its low end:p) or, get these cheap-o deap-o 8600GT'shttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814141062 yea its cheap, its the lowest 8600, but its still an 8600 and its hella cheap. So which ones.... To clear it up.....7600GT's In SLI or 8600GT's In SLI.

I think that it's a good idea with ATi because it almost works in all games. With Sli they have to make it work.

    BUT

I think going to low end cards in SLi or Crossfire is a good way to save some money and get a pretty nice setup for low cost.

I would do that if you can't afford the GTX.

yo man seriously go with the 8600's like the low end dx10 cards do very well as dx9 cards.

2600gt or gts? that PT has, is as fast if not faster than a 1950pro.

Think I will need a better PSU to run them? I got a 400 with 20 amps on the 12. It says recommended 350 watt psu.

They might work on that....it's powered by the PCI-e bus only. I mean it would be very very close tho.

Thats the thing, no 6 pin. I dont really have a power hungry system. I dont think Ill like crash off of it or anything. Maybe just a new 500 should do the trick

No 6 pin on those cards. You do not have to plug power into them.

I'd take the 8600 GT's in sli and oc them to gts speeds :rockout:. For the psu, something like a seasonic of the cheap corsair would be crazy awesome :rockout:, those are the only two that pop of the top of my head. Good luck to you.

If going for a 500W, I highly recommend my Corsair 520HX, it's AMAZING! It's built by seasonic, but it's cheaper than a seasonic of similar specs! Mines been rock stable and SLI ready! Plus it's modular with plenty of extra PCI-e, 4-pin, 3-pin, SATA, etc cables to suit most anyone! :toast:

Not trying to be argumentative, but why must you go SLI? Why not an 8800GTS, then save up money for another later?

Then he would have to find another 100 because he needs a PSU too.

    300GTS + 100psu=400 or 200SLi + 100psu=300.
