Onkyo's latest addition to its monitor lineup is the LA21TW-01S. This 21.5 inch full HD monitor offers some desk aesthetics apart from its basic display functions. Apart from its native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, it features a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m², and a static contrast ratio of 1000:1 (20000:1 ACR). The unit also holds two 1.6 W (RMS) speakers. It takes input from D-Sub, DVI, and HDMI connectors. It is currently priced at US $ 361.

They used to at least do high quality gear but if this is has to be seen. And yeah kinda small and pricey for today.

What happened to the stand i want to know as if it was all black it look real nice. Seems like it has a 80's touch to it too with those buttons with the silver casing.

If it was some thing other than a LCD like a DVD player or HI FI part i would have to check it out lol.

ONKYO are known for good build and good sound quality which today people don't seem to care about as much and go for lite on for example.

If it had a different stand and it was all black that be nice as hell. And personally i think speakers should not be on a monitor these days or used anyways. Light bulbs or tubes don't like vibrations so i'd never use them anyways.

For those who prefer resolution over sheer panel size this might be a pleasant change. I think I might like the smaller pixel size of this. It would mirror more closely the good old CRT days where you had folks running 1600x1200 on a 15 or 17 inch tube.
