Hi, I was playing around with this the last couple days, extracted the bios for both my X1400 (on Dell Inspiron 6400/e1505) and for my 5470 (Dell Studio 1545), modded them both for core and memory speed and flashed them both, successfully according to the default clocks reported on GPU-Z. I noticed that the OC settings worked for the 5470 fine using RBE 1.25 but, For the X1400 I had to use RaBiT 2.2, it works as long as no driver is loaded (standard adapter in device manager) but as soon as a driver is loaded, either one provided by Dell, a modded driver or even windows update drivers the adapter reverts back to the settings from ATI (no overclock). I am curious if anyone knows if this is somehow done through the inf file? is the somewhere one could bypass this or will I have to settle for the ATI Tray Tools? Is there any other bios setting that someone here would suggest to modify to help attain higher performance in a laptop? Does anyone know of a mobility high performance model that uses the same chip as these since the TechPowerUp database does not store a database for the mobility models?
