painkiller is way too fast

I recently installed painkiller, and the speed of the game is way faster than normal. I run at about triple speed, but so do the monsters. I know my speed isn't right because I've seen a friend play the game without this happening. it's patched to 1.61, as 1.0 doesn't seem to launch on my pc.

tried everything. like that. I found that with AA off, the game will run at normal speeds for a few seconds at a time, but never anywhere near normal.

set affinity to one core in xp dual core optimizer fixed it in vista i had to set affinity to core 0 for it to work fine

that works perfectly, but is there any way to set it so that I don't have to reset the core affinity each time the program starts?

Slowing down pain killer and other games

I had the same problem on a amd x2 4200. I instaled the Dual Core optimizator from amd site , that meant to correct this kind of problem, and it really dd it. The speedy is correct now.

You can gat cpu Killer too and reduce the speedy of your computer from 0 to 100 %.

Yep, the dual Core optimizer is what you need. I had the same problem with Ground Control 2.
