I did a few tests recently using the "Photomerge Panorama" built-in software in Photoshop Elements 5(that's what i use btw). I did not like some of the results made by it.

Can you recommend me a good alternative. I prefer a non-technical one, just press the button and "LET IT" do the job. Freebies are nice but i'd rather PAY for a good program as it encourages more people to make them. :)

I'm still learning this Photography thingy.

Photoshop is probably gonna be the best photo merging software available (I haven't seen anything else, tho, I do it all by hand.) To make a panorama, you are probably best off using a tripod to take like 3 pictures, and just rotate it like 30 degrees. Photoshop to overlap them.

Automated programs are just that- automated. They cannot process everything like a human can, so they'll never be anywhere near as good.

You ain't going to believe this, I use to use Serif Publishing software back in my Intel 386 and 486 days. It was freeware then and was great, ran it on Windows 3.0 and 3.11. I thought they were gone, if they are as good as they used to be then it should be ok.

You can get this for the same price and it has both, editing and panorama plus 3 :http://www.serif.com/digitalphotosuite/

    Discount at ritz camera:http://www.ritzcamera.com/product/EP63833302.htm

Just out of curiousity they stll have some of their stuff free, not the panorama software, sorry...http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/default.asp
