    Hi! I'm from the Internet
I think we should only post in here if we have something to give or need something. All other talk and question should be handled in pm. That way the only post in this thread have something to offer or in need of something. Thee will be less post to weed through. Also the thread should be cleaned out every 2 months or so.

    @ MadShot

Thanks for the input- suggested stuffihaz and stuffiwant as a method to search the thread. I used the colors because as much as I do type.... I really hate typing

Just a quick format and done when something moves :D

well i'm another step into diagnosing this laptop. atm it seems the one and only sata port doesnt detect any drives (tried with two known good drives) - the BIOS and win 7 installer doesnt see them.

it DID show up briefly for me once, but not since.

so for now i'll say the laptop parts arent on offer, since i'll test it from a USB bootable OS. (it has a mini PCI slot, i may be able to find an SSD to fit that)

If you have some soldering skills, reflow the sata connector. Sounds to me like it could be loose.

its one of those stupid socket based adaptors.

then the drive slides down onto the pins/socket thing.

as i figured out (and was then advised via PM, thanks oh_fubar), i can just get something like this:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2nd-SATA...C_Drives_Storage_Internal&hash=item230fad651f

anyone have one up for grabs?

@ Kevinheraiz- how many SATA cables do you need?- I know I have a couple of nice black ASUS ones that came with my M5A99X. I can take a look through for some more... I know I have some red and orange ones too. Also, what lengths?

I previously looked into shipping to the states, would cost a fortune. Compared to 2nd hand prices that is. Had to limit it to the EU salt. Sorry bud.
